  • Meet some of the team:

  •

  • Andy Buxton

    Divisional Director

Andy heads up the Denmaur Paper division with 37 years of sales and managerial experience in paper merchanting, and before that jobs in print, marketing and graphic design.

Born in East London and brought up in Norfolk, Andy is married to Karon and has four grown up children: Eloise, Clara, Jack and Harry, as well as two German Shepherd dogs.

Outside work and family, Andy has a passion for all sports and follows West Bromwich Albion. Otherwise he enjoys good holidays and good food - and he's been a member of CAMRA for 33 years, and so appreciates the occasional good drop of ale.

Andy's ambitions are to live well, enjoy everything that he does, and also to see as many places around the world as he is able to.

  • Martin Wheeler

    Inside Sales Manager

Martin has been in the paper industry for 20 years, the last 18 of which have been faithfully and diligently served with Denmaur. Prior to paper, he was a kitchen designer and a claim to fame is that he once co-designed a kitchen for the Radio 2 DJ, Chris Evans. Originally from Hemel Hempstead, Martin now resides in Kent with his wife Emma and four children Ellie, Harry, Lilly and Amelia. Interests outside of work are numerous and varied, ranging from the occasional workout (if time and small persons activities allow), through to family walks along the sea front, eating out, socialising with friends and (predominately at the moment) DIY.

His immediate goal revolves around the successful renovation of the family house, which is happening as we type. Subsequent ambitions relate to paying for the house renovation, and enjoying family holidays to anywhere other than Bognor or Hastings.

  • How did you get into the industry?

By not listening to my father's advice.

If you weren't a paper merchant, what do you think you'd have done instead?

Probably kitchen design or visual animation and realisation.

In the film Denmaur who would play you (any actor, living or dead)?

    Julia Roberts (according to Bob).

If you could have a slap-up lunch with any person/persons (again, can be alive or dead), who would you choose?

Can you tell us your favourite fact about Denmaur?

How well paid the teaboy is.

What's the best piece of advice you'd give to the younger version of yourself?

    Don't buy that new car.

What is the best thing about what you do at Denmaur?

Being able to offer solutions to client's problems and genuinely enjoying being at work.

If we were to give you £10 to place on a long-shot bet, what would it be?

Brian Lawes to win Miss World 2020.

If we were to give you £1,000 to donate to charity, which would it be?

    Without question, St Thomas Hospital.

If you won £10,000,000 on the lottery, what would be on top of your shopping list (assuming family, friends, charitable donations & long-shot bets have been covered)?

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS, 1967 Shelby GT500 and a DB11 for when they break down.

What would be your specialised subject on Mastermind?

    Paper!

Who (and why) would be your phone a friend on Who wants to be a millionaire?

Someone with 4G and quick reflexes.

Why should we continue to use paper?

Because I've got 4 kids and a mortgage. Seriously, because it's tactile, doesn't need charging and is incredibly environmentally conscious.

Why should people buy paper from Denmaur?

Our wealth of experience, product portfolio and excellent customer service.

  •

  • Neil Cobley

    HGV Class 1 Driver

Former speedster, Neil is a local (to the Bardon warehouse) having been born and raised in Wigston. He's been with Lyn for 16 years and they have a daughter, Hannah and a son, Daniel.

Neil enjoys spending time outside of work with the family and attending motorcycle race meetings since retiring from the sport himself!

Neil has been with Denmaur for 3 years and prior to that has worked as a car mechanic and a HGV driver outside the paper industry.

His ambition, if he ever won a significant sum on the lottery, would be to follow Moto GP and World Superbike tours around the world - we assume he'd do this with a modicum of luxury.

  • Firstly - we deliver a friendly service, right from the order through to the friendly delivery driver who provides a stress free experience. Secondly - Denmaur carries a huge paper range, to cater for all your needs, which we can deliver next day, or in some cases, the same day (no promises)

How did you get into the industry?

I was made redundant from my last job and came to work at Denmaur through an agency.

If you weren't a paper merchant, what do you think you'd have done instead?

Would have liked to be a professional motorcycle racer but in reality I would probably like to be involved in the mechanical side of bikes.

In the film Denmaur who would play you (any actor, living or dead)?

Paul Walker as he shares the same interest in fast cars and bikes.

If you could have a slap-up lunch with any person/persons (again, can be alive or dead), who would you choose?

Valentino Rossi (9 times moto GP world champion).

Can you tell us your favourite fact about Denmaur?

Denmaur is doing a lot to promote recycling of paper and reducing greenhouse gases in its manufacturing - that's got to be a good for going forward.

Can you tell us an interesting/unusual fact about yourself?

Enjoyed motorcycling and raced at many of the UK tracks. Have owned most makes of motorcycle in my past. I now no longer ride as I'm getting older - but never say never!

What's the best piece of advice you'd give to the younger version of yourself?

Live your dream and don't give up trying to achieve it.

What is the best thing about what you do at Denmaur?

The job is varied and every day is different.

If we were to give you £10 to place on a long-shot bet, what would it be?

Leicester City to win the league (just my luck, missed out on that one).

If we were to give you £1,000 to donate to charity, which would it be?

It would be LOROS or any charity involved in end of life care.

If you won £10,000,000 on the lottery, what would be on top of your shopping list (assuming family, friends, charitable donations & long-shot bets have been covered)?

I would like to follow the Moto GP or World Superbike tour around the world, visiting all the tracks they race at throughout the year.

What would be your specialised subject on Mastermind?

Moto GP World Superbike and British Superbike Champions.

Who (and why) would be your phone a friend on Who wants to be a millionaire?

I would phone Chris Tarrant (as he has all the answers).

Why should we continue to use paper?

Because it is far better for the environment in many ways - for example, paper packaging instead of using plastics.

Why should people buy paper from Denmaur?
