    Denmaur People - Summer 2018

A promotion, an internship and two introductions..

    It's Promotion for our Molly

We'd like to congratulate Molly Martin who recently gained promotion to Assistant Warehouse Supervisor.

Her determination to forge a career at Denmaur and develop new skills was rewarded with promotion in April, and she now ably assists Rod James to ensure the busy early shift runs efficiently.

Molly's duties now include helping to oversee the goods inwards operation and the prepping of outbound goods for our fleet of delivery vehicles, all whilst maintaining the Denmaur's BRC, quality and environmental management standards.

Molly has also quickly found opportunities to exercise her organisational skills when it comes to arranging a legendary Denmaur night out. Otherwise, outside of work, Molly likes to spend time with family and friends and enjoys day trips and holidays.

A summer break for Tom Scrivener

Tom Scrivener has joined us as an intern during his time out from university, to learn the ropes of modern-day paper merchanting.Hailing from Kent, Tom has just completed the first year of a Psychology degree at Exeter. He has been working with the samples and marketing teams at Denmaur's HQ since June and has already taken in quite a lot in the short time he's been here.

"My internship here has given me a real insight into the workings of a large business, and working with a supportive and diligent team of people has helped me gain some valuable skills and good customer service experience".

Captain of the Psychology football team at Exeter, Tom also enjoys cricket, photography and amateur dramatics - studies and the archetypal university lifestyle permitting.

Two interesting facts about Tom: (1) his specialised subject on Mastermind would be World Flags, and (2) he once spent the night at Lisa Marie Presley's house.....!

    Our Shannon + 1

Congratulations to Denmaur employee Shannon Morgan who gave birth to Ethan William on July 11th.

Weighing in at 7lb 4oz, Ethan and mum Shannon are doing well, as is Shannon's proud Grandmother, Anne, who works in Denmaur's credit control.

Now a Great Grandmother, Anne wanted us all to know that it's always been a family tradition to start families at a young, healthy and sensible age.

Jenson - Denmaur's World Cup Mascot

You may have noticed our World Cup mascot, Jenson, on social media of late.

Well, we did get more than our fair share of likes, hearts and retweets as we posted pictures of Jenson and his St George's flag whilst the national team progressed through to the semi-finals.

Jenson belongs to our MD, Nick Gee, and is a frequent visitor to our Sittingbourne Head Office. His passion for paper has yet to extend beyond attempting to eat it from our recycling bins, but we're hoping he'll soon be back on Facebook and Twitter convincing printers and publishers to source their paper requirements from Denmaur.
