Denmaur apprentice, Claudia Flamson, works as an administrative assistant at our busy Bardon warehouse, and is nearing the end of her NVQ level 3 Business Administration course.
Born in Leicester, Claudia has lived in Swadlincote (Derbyshire) for most of her life, spending some time at University of Derby before returning to Leicester to take up her current role.
"The thing I enjoy doing most at Denmaur is helping our Transport Manager, Chris Green, with route planning. It's something I never thought I would enjoy, but I find it really interesting as there's a new challenge to overcome from it every day."
Outside of work, Claudia is an avid reader, claiming it to be an escape from reality that television and video games just can't match.
"One of my favourite quotes is by John Green from the book The Fault In Our Stars: 'Some infinities are bigger than other infinities' as I think it shows life is short, but is something to be treasured."
Indeed, Claudia claims that her specialised subject on Mastermind would probably be based on books, but train time-tables could be a close second choice as most weekends are spent commuting to and from Brighton, where long-term boyfriend, Daniel, is based.
Claudia cites her mum as her greatest influence, "she's a fantastic role model and I'm very fortunate to have been brought up by someone so kind hearted and strong."
We all wish Claudia the very best in the successful completion of her course.
