    Denmaur is widely regarded as a sustainability leader within the UK paper and print industry, with a long-standing commitment to responsible business, environmental improvement and helping customers make more informed and sustainable choices.

    Environmental Responsibility

    We believe environmental leadership requires measurable action. Denmaur operates a certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and maintains FSC® and PEFC Chain of Custody certification, supporting responsible forest management and the use of certified, recycled and renewable fibre.

     

    Our Environmental Policy commits us to protecting the environment, preventing pollution, addressing climate change and contributing to a more sustainable and circular economy. This includes improving energy and resource efficiency, reducing waste, protecting biodiversity and natural habitats, managing environmental risks and maintaining compliance with relevant environmental legislation.

    Climate action is a particular priority. Through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Denmaur has committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline, alongside our ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2045. We measure and monitor emissions, identify carbon-reduction opportunities and engage with suppliers to better understand and reduce supply-chain emissions.

    We also recognise our responsibility to communicate sustainability credibly. Environmental claims relating to our products, services and operations must be accurate, transparent, specific, substantiated and capable of verification.

    Our Wider ESG Approach

    For Denmaur, sustainability extends beyond environmental performance. Our wider ESG approach encompasses our people, employee engagement and training, responsible and ethical business practices, sustainable procurement and effective corporate governance.

    Accountability is fundamental. Environmental objectives and KPIs are monitored through our management systems, with performance, compliance, risks, audit findings and improvement actions subject to documented management review and, where appropriate, Board oversight.
