Formakote Spectra is a fully coated, hard-sized kraft back board designed to combine high-quality print performance with excellent yield, stiffness and versatility.
Its three-ply construction provides a strong balance of stiffness and material efficiency, while the double-coated topside delivers a high-quality printing surface. The uncoated reverse retains the distinctive kraft-backed character of the board, making it a versatile choice for packaging applications where presentation and structural performance are equally important.
Formakote Spectra is OBA-free and made from FSC® Certified and traceable pulp sources using virgin fibres. It is suitable for both sheet-fed offset and flexographic printing, as well as chiller and freezer applications.
Available from 280–700µm (183–403g/m²) and as a Reel Fast product, Formakote Spectra also offers the flexibility of bespoke sizing for applications where standard sheet dimensions aren't suitable.

Formakote Spectra features a double-coated topside designed to deliver consistent, high-quality print results. Its surface is suitable for both sheet-fed offset and flexographic printing, making it a flexible option for branded packaging and graphical applications.
The board's three-ply structure provides excellent stiffness and yield, supporting reliable performance through converting and finishing. Its wide range of available thicknesses allows you to select the specification best suited to the structural requirements of the finished product.
As a Reel Fast product, Formakote Spectra is also available in bespoke sizes, helping reduce material waste and improve production efficiency.
Formakote Spectra is suited to packaging applications where print quality, stiffness and performance in demanding environments are important. Typical applications include folding cartons, chilled food packaging, frozen food packaging, food packaging and retail packaging and consumer packaging.
