Our reporting considers the two key elements of the paper and board supply chain: production and transportation.

1. We use data provided directly by the paper mills. Our manufacturing partners are investing in greater environmental transparency through the use of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Paper Profiles. These provide detailed information about the environmental impact of paper production, providing an accurate year on year assessment of product-specific carbon emissions.

2. We also calculate the carbon emissions associated with transporting paper and board from the mill to the customer. This includes the relevant road, rail and sea transportation involved in the supply chain. Denmaur applies the latest UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors for transport activity, providing a consistent and recognised approach to calculating the carbon emissions associated with the delivery of your paper and board.
