Protect X Matt provides a smooth, refined matt surface that enhances printed materials while reducing glare. Its understated finish is well suited to high-quality imagery, graphics and text where readability and a premium appearance are important. The scuff-resistant surface helps printed products maintain their visual quality during regular handling and use.
Available in Thermal, Wet and Digital formats, Protect X Matt provides flexibility across different lamination processes. It is suitable for hot foil stamping, subject to testing, and can be combined with gloss and silk spot coatings using radical UV-curing systems, also subject to testing. The film is glueable, with testing recommended to confirm compatibility with the substrate and adhesive. The EVA hot-melt coating requires curing time after lamination, with the appropriate curing period dependent on the base material.
Ideal for printed products requiring a sophisticated matt appearance combined with protection against everyday handling and scuffing. Typical applications include book covers, brochures, catalogues, magazines, corporate literature, presentation materials, packaging, promotional materials and premium retail communications. Its compatibility with foil stamping and spot coatings also makes it suitable for applications requiring additional decorative finishing.
