    Temptation Velvet

  • Temptation Velvet is a premium polyurethane-coated, biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film designed to create an ultra-matt, soft-touch finish on a wide range of printed materials.

Its distinctive velvet-like surface provides a luxurious tactile experience while offering modified scuff resistance and good tear resistance. The reverse side features an EVA hot-melt coating for reliable lamination.

Temptation Velvet is available in Thermal, Wet and Digital formats and can be used with a variety of base materials. The film is also suitable for hot foil stamping, spot coatings using radical UV-curing systems and gluing, subject to testing. Optimal processing conditions should be established according to the substrate and application.

    Print Capabilities

Temptation Velvet enhances printed materials with an ultra-matt surface that creates a sophisticated, premium appearance while reducing reflections and glare. Its soft-touch finish provides a distinctive tactile quality, making printed colours, imagery and graphics feel more luxurious and refined. It is particularly suited to premium print applications where visual presentation and tactile experience are key considerations.

    Finishing Capabilities

Available in Thermal, Wet and Digital formats, Temptation Velvet offers flexibility across different lamination processes. The film can be further enhanced through hot foil stamping and spot coatings using radical UV-curing systems, with testing recommended before production. It is also glueable, with testing advised to confirm suitability for the specific substrate, adhesive and application. The EVA coating requires curing time following lamination, with the optimum curing period dependent on the base material used.

    Typical Applications

Ideal for premium printed materials where a luxurious appearance and distinctive soft-touch finish are required. Typical applications include luxury brochures, book covers, premium packaging, presentation materials, corporate literature, invitations, marketing materials, retail communications and high-end promotional print. Its compatibility with foil stamping, spot UV and gluing also makes it suitable for more elaborate and creatively finished applications.
