    Leather

  • Leather is a partially acrylic-coated, leather-structured, biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) lamination film designed to create a distinctive, tactile leather-effect finish.

Its textured surface adds depth, character and a premium feel to printed materials, while providing scuff resistance and good tear resistance for enhanced durability. The reverse side is coated with an EVA hot-melt adhesive for lamination to a wide range of substrates.

Available in Thermal and Wet formats, LEATHER is ideal for creative and luxury print applications where a sophisticated, tactile appearance can add value.

Due to its structured surface, pre-production testing is recommended for subsequent gluing, printing and hot foil stamping processes.

    Print Capabilities

Leather provides a distinctive leather-effect texture that adds tactile interest and a premium appearance to printed materials. Its structured surface can complement high-quality graphics, imagery and branding, creating a finished product with a sophisticated look and feel. Printing is possible in principle, although the textured surface can make subsequent print processes more challenging. Pre-production testing is recommended to establish optimum conditions.

    Finishing Capabilities

Available in Thermal and Wet formats, Leather offers flexibility across different lamination processes. Its textured surface can be suitable for gluing and hot foil stamping, although the structure may make these processes more demanding than with smooth films. Testing is recommended before production to confirm compatibility with the intended substrate, adhesive and finishing process. The EVA hot-melt coating requires curing time following lamination, with the appropriate curing period dependent on the base material.

    Typical Applications

Ideal for luxury, premium and creative print applications where a sophisticated tactile finish can enhance the perceived value of the finished product. Typical applications include luxury packaging, premium brochures, book covers, presentation materials, corporate literature, promotional materials, retail communications and specialist printed products. The leather-effect texture is particularly well suited to applications seeking a refined, elegant or traditional aesthetic.
