    Mercury Silk

  • Mercury Silk Large Format is a premium, fully coated silk paper combining a smooth surface with high opacity, excellent bulk and impressive stiffness.

Designed to deliver outstanding imagery reproduction, it is particularly effective for sharp image areas, intense colour and applications requiring high print gloss. Its comparatively high bulk creates a thicker, more substantial finished product while offering potential paper-saving and cost efficiencies.

Mercury Silk is stocked in 1040 × 1550mm, allowing three across the press bed, with bespoke sizes available mill direct by agreement. Manufactured from FSC® certified and traceable pulp sources, it provides a high-quality and responsibly sourced solution for demanding commercial print applications

    Print Capabilities

Mercury Silk offers excellent image reproduction, with its smooth, silk-coated surface providing sharp detail, vibrant colour and high print gloss. Its high opacity helps minimise show-through, making it well suited to print applications featuring strong imagery, dense colour areas and double-sided content. The paper is designed to perform consistently across modern commercial printing technologies.

    Finishing Capabilities

Mercury Silk is suitable for a wide range of conventional print finishing processes, including folding, creasing, trimming, cutting, binding and laminating. Its combination of bulk and stiffness gives finished products a more substantial feel, while the smooth silk surface provides an excellent base for additional finishing treatments where required.

    Typical Applications

Ideal for premium commercial print applications where image quality, colour impact and a substantial finished product are important. Typical end-uses include brochures, catalogues, magazines, annual reports, corporate literature, marketing materials, direct mail, premium publications and high-quality promotional communications. The high opacity and stiffness also make it particularly suitable for double-sided printed materials requiring excellent visual presentation.
