Both FSC and PEFC have recently declared timber and timber derived products (including paper and pulp) from Russia and Belarus as 'Conflict Timber' and therefore non-certified.
This affects any harvested Russian and Belarusian forestry (that will go on to be processed as a timber/timber derived product) ordered from 2nd March 2022 for PEFC, and for all shipments received on and after 8th April 2022 for FSC.
Please note that timber, pulp, paper and board products sourced from Russian and Belarusian forestry regions before the above dates will remain certified.
Denmaur Independent Papers will no longer:
(i) purchase any paper and board products that have been manufactured in Russia and Belarus, and
(ii) purchase any paper and board products that have been manufactured using pulp sourced from Russian or Belarusian forestry categorised as Conflict Timber.
We have conducted a due diligence procedure with all of our manufacturing suppliers to ensure they have taken actions necessary to prevent any Conflict Timber from entering their supply chains.
We will continue to monitor the situation and advise as and when there are any updates. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions regarding the papers and boards you purchase from Denmaur.
